JENN'S ACCUTANE JOURNAL

WEEK 20

Week of Feb. 1 thru Feb. 8, 2002

Well I went to the Derm on Friday and Im finally done with my treatment!!!!! My face was clear again (except for some of the red marks) since I didn't get any spots this week so I'm hoping the little break out I got the last few weeks was caused by something else. I have my suspicions it was the Vita-K since I broke out the last time I used it and had to stop also remember? Well now I really think that had something to do with it so I've quit and plan on letting my redmarks heal with the Vit E like they have been successfully.

The Derm told me my skin will continue to get better in the next few weeks too, which I already knew but was refreshing to hear. I also told him that my hair was breaking off since it was so dry and that it was possible some of those strands were from actual hair falling out, but since it was nothing drastic I wasnt worried about it. He said not to worry about it and that it grows back after Accutane.

So now I'm done. Believe it or not I'm more scared of getting off Accutane then I was getting ON it! I'm scared that 2 months from now when Im in basic training for the military (without makeup and medicine since topicals etc. arent allowed) that my face will breakout again. Oh well I guess I'll get over it. :)

Well now that Im done I hope I've helped some of you thinking about Accutane realize its not so bad at all, it was actually pretty easy and went by fast. For those of you on it I hope I helped you see what was in store for you (to some extent) and give you tips to help you along the way. I've met a lot of wonderful and supportive people throughout these few months from my journal and I wish all of you continued success through your treatment.

I'll continue to keep you updated every few months so hopefully a few years from now I can come back and say I'm still clear :) and of course the message board will be up for everyone to support each other.

Take care and I wish all of you the best!
Jenn
