JENN'S ACCUTANE JOURNAL

7 MONTHS AFTER

October 17, 2002

Hey there!!! Well its been awhile since I've updated probably about 7 months.  I guess that's a good thing though so you can hear about the major difference those months made.

My face is absolutely 100% clear.  Clear of pimples and of red marks!  The red marks disappeared it's true that all you can really do is give them time they eventually fade.  I can't explain how grateful I am to Accutane especially since I couldn't wear make-up for the last 7 months throughout my military training.  What's funny is that not wearing makeup didn't bother me at all now that I'm confident about my skin, it's amazing how much better I feel about myself and how it shows in everything I do now.  During the last 7 months I've probably gotten around 3 or 4 blemishes.  They are now very small though and go away quickly.  I use Tea Tree Oil on them when they appear (I still love that stuff)!  Not everyone's the same but if you do get a couple after the treatment keep in mind the improvement youve been through.  3 or 4 pimples in 7 months is a miracle in itself for me so it doesnt bother me at all when I do get one here and there.

I know youre wondering about the side effects after the treatment huh?  Well fortunatly I have none at all.  I don't ache and my hair is back to normal.  I did get my oil back though nothing like before the treatment I was secretly hoping it wouldnt come back at all though!

As for my daily regime, well I still use St. Ives at night to take my make-up off and just use Dove soap (or whatever is on hand) in the morning.  I also try to keep all my good habits from my treatment like washing my pillowcase often, wearing sun block, not sleeping with make-up on, drinking lots of water and stuff like that.  It's hard sometimes though because I now wake-up and the last thing I think about is my skin ISN'T THAT AMAZING??? That used to be the only thing I could think about and now I take it for granted but try not to.

Well that's my story- thus far it has a very happy ending I hope your experience is just as great.

                                                                            Take care,

                                                                                 Jenn
